6 Ways How I Relax After a Long Day

Are you a person who finds it difficult to unwind? You’re not alone. After a long day at work or running errands, we all want to relax and let go of the pressures of the day.

Perhaps you have responsibilities at home that require your attention – cooking, cleaning, looking after the kids. Maybe you try to get a head start on the next day’s workload, by working into the night?

Continuing on in this way can be physically and mentally taxing as your body continues to expend energy. I notice that if I don’t let go and relax at the end of a long day, I wake up the next morning and feel kind of groggy.

But if I pamper myself a bit and put conscious effort into it, I notice that the quality of my sleep is much better and I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

So, this is what I do at the end of a long day:

# 1: Cuddles

When I come back home, I love to spend some time with my dog. I love the cuddles. It warms my heart!

#2: Hydrate

I make sure I am hydrating well with a glass of water mixed with some fresh lemon juice. The lemon juice makes the water extra hydrating.

#3: Move the body

I’ll have some alone time doing yoga, fitness exercises or tai chi. This feels so good especially if you sit all day in front of the computer. It allows me to stretch all my muscles and get the circulation going. I feel so much better afterwards!

#4: I Have A Nice Soothing Shower

I don’t know about you guys, but for me, nothing beats a good shower after a long day.

#5: I Have A Cup Of Reishi Tea
